Meet the Makers
Strength, safety and quality are three of the qualities at the heart of every Rhino greenhouse. We design and manufacture the Rhino in our own UK factory so we have complete control of the materials used and we can adapt quickly to any challenges we encounter.
We believe a Rhino is the perfect environment for your plants as well as you and your family. Discover what makes the Rhino so special below.
Included as standard with the Rhino Premium 6x10 greenhouse:
- 2 Triple Roof Vents
- 3 Side Louvre Vents
- 4 Automatic Roof Vent Openers
- Storm Locks
Ventilation is essential when considering which greenhouse is right for you. By using a combination of single, double and triple roof vents across the Premium range, we're able to make the best use of available roof space. This means our Rhinos are the most ventilated greenhouses in their class on the market.
The high quality Rhino five-blade louvre vents allow you to take complete control of your ventilation, allowing cool air to enter from the side, circulate up through the greenhouse forcing air to escape through the roof vents. Optimal circulation can only be achieved through a combination of roof vents and side louvres.
Adequate ventilation is absolutely crucial to successful growing under glass. There is not another greenhouse on the market that has more ventilation than a Rhino. Better still, it's all included in the price.

Keep yourself and your family safe with Rhino's combination glazing system: Toughened Safety Glass and Rubber Glazing Beads. Perfect for exposed locations and families with young children and pets.
Each Rhino comes with Rhino Tuff 4mm toughened safety glass as standard. This safety glass is 33% Thicker than most other greenhouse glass. As quality is at the heart of every Rhino the glass is also Grade A so you can achieve ultimate clarity for maximum light. The extra thickness helps minimise glass breakages and if they do occur, the glass will shatter into lots of tiny pieces rather than bigger shards which are far more likely to cause injury. Safety is important at every stage of the process which is why even the edges of the glass are rounded so you don't cut yourself during installation.
The unique Rhino glazing system locks each pane of glass in place along its entire length, using long rubber beads. The glass cannot be blown or sucked out of the frame and pushing on the glass only locks the beads more tightly into the frame, making it ideally engineered for high winds and other extreme weather conditions. With Rhino's glazing method, each pane becomes integral to the strength of the whole frame. The Premium range also features box-section glazing bead for even greater stability, as a step up from the Classic range.
When compared with the glazing that comes as standard on most greenhouses, the Rhino ranges come up trumps every time. No dangerous horticultural glass or flimsy W-clips here; and with the smooth finish achieved by our glazing beads, there's no need for bar capping either.

While we wouldn't recommend sitting on the roof of your Rhino, we tested in our own factory to see if the Rhino lives up to its name and it does!
Every single Rhino is engineered for maximum strength and stability. This makes it a great choice for exposed locations or just for the extra piece of mind that your plants are safe in extreme weather conditions. Many of our chustomers choose a Rhino specifically for this reason and we often hear that they've withstood storms and very strong gales.
So whether you're in the Outer Hebrides or the Channel Islands, our Rhinos make secure growing locations, no matter the weather.
Each Rhino frame has around 60% more aluminium than similarly priced models. But it’s not just the weight, it’s the clever design of the Rhino that provides its inherent strength. There are 3 key factors that contribute the strength of the Rhino range:
- Strong T-section bracing
- An integral base
- The Rhino Tuff glazing system
The Rhino Premium is a step up from the Classic model, featuring even stronger T-section bracing (replacing the tubular bracing of the Classic), the bracing is positioned at every strut of the framework of the eaves and ridge of the the greenhouse, you can be confident in the security of the structure. The integral base and Rhino Tuff glazing system also add to the overall strength, creating a solid and airtight framework from the top of the roof to the ground.
We’ve tested the snow loading capacity of a Rhino by putting half a tonne of sand bags on the roof, so it's ready for whatever the Great British weather may throw at it.
Whether you're looking at erecting your greenhouse on soil, a concrete base or paving slabs a Rhino is suitable for it all.
Every Rhino greenhouse includes a strong aluminium base in the price, which not only provides an incredibly strong foundation but also allows The Rhino to be erected simply onto firm, level soil – so there’s no need for an expensive concrete base. Strong stainless steel ground anchors are concreted into position.
The Rhino can also be erected on a hardstanding of concrete or paving slabs, in which case the stainless steel anchors are fixed using the fixings provided.
All Rhino greenhouses now include a low threshold door and ramp within the price. There’s no longer a trip hazard at the doorway and on 8, 10 and 12ft wide models there is plenty of width for a wheelchair or wheelbarrow to enter with ease.
Every Rhino greenhouse comes with two hanging basket rails.
The roof is so strong that it can easily handle this extra load, and it’s a really useful feature. Your hanging baskets will thrive and it will also free up lots of space on your staging.
Every Rhino greenhouse also comes with large integral gutters as well as downpipes and bends so you can collect and use the natural rainwater that your plants love.
There is an optional two-in-one kit available at an extra cost which joins the two pipes at the rear of the greenhouse and allows both gutters to feed into one water butt.
Nothing says more about the quality of a Rhino greenhouse than our 25 Year Guarantee.
A generation of gardeners can rest assured that the frame and even the powder coated colour finish are covered, in the unlikely event that the greenhouse fails.
Our Rhino greenhouses offer great flexibility when it comes to base options. Unlike most other greenhouse brands, our Rhinos can be erected on soil. This is only due to the strength created by its sturdy base and framework. As long as it is level and fully compacted, in most situations soil is the perfect solution.
Alternatively, hardstanding bases are also suitable. As long as they're smooth and level, paving slabs, concrete bases and brick or block perimeter plinths can also be used.
More information on base preparation and our base plans can be found here.
