If you are not using the cables in a Rhino Hot Staging a simple frame can be constructed from wood to form the propagating area. The cable is laid onto 5cm of sharp sand and covered with a further 5cm of sand. 

If cable is laid 7.5cm-10cm apart the soil temperature can be raised by 11-13 degrees C. Higher temperatures are possible by laying the cable 5cm apart but in this case a thermostat is recommended to regulate the heat.

This length (10ft) will cover an area approx 4sq. ft.

The Parasene Thermostat is ideal for use with Parasene soil warming cables to provide ideal conditions for germination. 

The thermostat allows precision temperature control (0-40 Degrees C) and is easy to use and simple to connect. It features an  indicator light and is approved for use in damp greenhouse conditions.
