Stagings usually look good in colour brochures. Our problem was to prove how much stronger Rhino staging is, so we devised a simple test - the 1200 litre challenge.
We went along to our local DIY superstore and bought a 4ft staging. Initial reactions were that it was quite light and flimsy but to get a fair comparison we subjected it to the 1200 litre challenge to see if it was stronger than it looked.
You probably know how heavy the 200 litre bales of compressed peat are, well here's our 4ft staging supporting 1200litres! (see left)

Why is Rhino Staging so strong?
It is quite simple - Rhino staging is so strong because we use so much aluminium in the framework!

Many popular stagings use sheet aluminium, in the form of trays as an integral part of the structure, instead of having a separate framework (see below).

Other stagings use thin ‘L’ section framework - again not up to the job!

The Rhino "T" bar shown here gives the staging its strength. This section is enormously strong, at 3mm thick it is not only twice the size of other models but the "T" profile is inherently far stronger too.

Colour choice
Green framed greenhouses look stunning. Now you can have staging to match - it really makes a big difference, for a small extra charge.
Please note that only the frame is powercoated green, the trays and wood are not painted.

With over 150 different combinations there should be a Rhino staging just right for your needs.

Rhino Staging is available in 3 different depths:

18” (ideal for 5ft wide greenhouses)
24” (ideal for almost any sized greenhouse and the most popular of the three)
30” (designed for greenhouses 8ft wide and larger)

Four lengths of staging are available:
2ft; 4ft; 6ft and 8ft.

Sizes quoted here are nominal. The stagings have been designed to fit inside a greenhouse, eg an 8ft staging is marginally smaller than 8ft otherwise it could be marginally too long.

The second tier can be fitted at either of two different heights so that you can customise it to suit your own requirements.

Every Rhino staging now comes with feet to help prevent the legs from sinking into the soil.

Rhino staging is available with a choice of 2 different tops.

Wood slats are double vacuum treated with Protim preservative to ensure a long life. The slats allow free drainage for trays and pots as well as making ideal second tiers for storage.

Aluminium Trays are very versatile - fill them with pea shingle for good drainage & to create a moist micro climate around your seedlings & plants. They are also ideal for use with capilliary matting.

The trays can also be turned over to provide a flat work surface.

The top of the trays are folded over to increase strength and to avoid sharp edges. The open corners allow for drainage.


The Rhino Potting Pal and Reservoir

The Potting Pal will take the strain out of this pleasant task. The high back and angled sides of the working surface will prevent your compost from going everywhere and will make the whole job much more effecient.

More versatile than a dedicated, stand alone potting station as it does not take up precious space in your greenhouse all year round. When you have finished potting up, the Potting Pal can be stored out of the way under your staging.

Further automate your greenhouse and ensure your plants aren’t thirsty with this neat reservoir. The tank holds 30 litres of water and will fit 4ft, 6ft & 8ft x 24” deep Rhino stagings.

The plants sit on capilliary matting and take up the exact amount of water they need.

Like all Rhino designs, both the Potting Pal and reservoir are very robust.

Made from thick aluminium with welded corners, they come already assembled.

The strong, solid shelf is perfect for all those sundry items you don't want splashed with water. Available in one size 6” x 5ft.

Our 10” slatted shelves fit perfectly above your staging and will really add to the productivity of your greenhouse. RHINO Seedracks

If you already own a greenhouse you'll know that in the spring & autumn you can't move for seed trays. A space saving Rhino Seedrack is what you need!

The 10 tray Seedrack only needs a 20” space to slot into.

The 15 tray Seedrack is 301/2” wide. It offers 16sq ft of growing space yet occupies only 31/3 sq ft of floorspace.
