School Report for Rhino Greenhouse

To help us understand what schools need from a greenhouse we donated this Rhino 8x18 to a Norfolk school.

They have found the flush door option perfect for the children and use two Rhino growbeds for direct planting. Two 4ft stagings are used back to back in the centre of the partition so that the children cann all work around the same bench. The children hav sown bedding plants, sunflowers and tomatoes. The greenhouse is being used as an outside learning environment, unaffected by the weather, the teachers linking the work to a variety of curriculum areas.. The greenhouse is proving a great success so far, especially with the kids who seem to love getting their hands dirty!

A genuine photo? A genuine photo? - Barney and Terry together weighed nearly 40 stone!

When we first launched the Rhino we wanted something to illustrate the strength of the frame

When we first launched the Rhino we wanted something to illustrate the strength of the frame.

Quite by chance we hit on the idea of sitting on the roof. Barney and Terry together weighed nearly 40 stone. we have used this picture (right) in our literature ever since.

Five men on a Rhino - Rhino GREENHOUSE that is!

Even that weight didn't do the Rhino justice so we recently took one along to a photographic studio to reshoot the picture. Our 'tea break' photo (main picture) was the best but we also had 5 members of staff on the roof for another shot. Even then, the Rhino didn't move or creak under nearly half a tonne!

Hurricane proof Greenhouse Hurricane letter

Rhino greenhouses love storms!

RHINO SURVIVES HURRICANE!

Unfortunately for the owners, many of the cheaper greenhouses have too little aluminium in the frame to withstand good gales. Fortunately for us, gales and storms seem to be on the increase in the last few years. The result is lots of gardeners wanting to replace their flattened greenhouses with stronger models.

Rhinos love storms. The glass cannot be blown out and the frames are very robust. As a result a properly anchored Rhino will withstand very high winds. This is why we enjoy such a high level of recommendation business in windy areas such as Scotland & Wales. News travels.

Crusader's Commendations

Three weekends of hard slog were almost over when gardener John Watson came to fit the sliding doors on his new aluminium greenhouse. "Then to my utter horror I discovered that I had built the base wrongly so the doors were at the back instead of the front. It meant dismantling the whole lot" John tells Crusader.

He called the supplier, Greenhouses Direct. Their adviser Bill Campbell came to his rescue. "He said he could send a part which meant I could adapt the front with a runner" says John from Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

The part arrived two days later and Bill was at the end of the phone line while he attached the new fitting."He was eager to help and solved many problems. Greenhouses Direct deserve a medal for such professional after-sales attention," declares John.
