Having produced the RHINO successfully for nearly 10 years, why introduce the RHINO BASIC now?
Two reasons:
Firstly, even though the RHINO offers terrific value for money, it is a premium quality greenhouse with lots of extras. As such, it costs a little more than a standard quality model. Our customers genuinely love the RHINO &, quite simply we wanted to encourage a larger number of gardeners to enjoy the RHINO quality.
Secondly, over the years, the success of the RHINO has led our competitors to add accessories to cheaper quality greenhouses and offer them as alternatives. The trouble with this approach is that you don’t end up with a Premium quality greenhouse, merely by bolting on a few extras. The RHINO BASIC is still a RHINO, a PREMIUM quality greenhouse – but at an unbelievable price!
So what is the difference between the RHINO BASIC and a RHINO?
At first glance you will not notice too many differences between the RHINO BASIC and the RHINO. The base dimensions, the generous 5’5” eave height, the class leading 8’4” ridge height (8’ wide models), the 6’5” door height, the superb glass quality and most of the aluminium sections are the same on both models!
Savings have, of course been made and the table lists the differences between the RHINO BASIC and the RHINO.
Is the RHINO BASIC a very strong greenhouse?
Definitely! The major sections on the RHINO BASIC are far heavier than many models from respected manufacturers:
eaves up to 35% thicker
glazing bars up to 30% thicker
ridge up to 50% thicker
door sides up to 30% thicker

Will RHINO Accessories fit the RHINO BASIC?
The extensive range of RHINO Accessories add so much to the enjoyment of greenhouse gardening. The good news is that these will fit the RHINO BASIC. The superb integral staging for example, is an ideal addition, as are shelves, seedracks and the huge range of free standing staging.

8’ wide RHINO BASIC models feature a 3’ wide door to provide excellent access.

Hanging basket rails
The hanging basket rails are so useful! Once your floral baskets are safely outside, use the rails for tomatoes or strawberries in baskets. The special varieties of tomato for this purpose proved extremely successful in our trials last year. A great way of maximising precious growing space.

Bar capping
The toughened, safety glass used in the RHINO BASIC is of the highest quality, as good as you would have in your double glazing! It is retained, not with metal clips but with PVC bar capping.

Do I need a concrete or paving slab base?
Certainly not! The RHINO BASIC will happily sit on a hardstanding if you already have one (we will supply special stainless steel fixing brackets for this purpose). You can save the very considerable time, trouble and expense of having a special base laid - the strong Rhino integral aluminium base is designed to sit directly onto soil. Stainless steel anchors are supplied to concrete the greenhouse in place – a simple and very effective solution - best of all, one that will save you £100’s!
