The 8x16 is the most popular Rhino probably because it takes up only 4ft extra garden space than an 8x12. However, it is cavernous inside, with more than enough room for an enthusiast to consider adding a partition to enjoy the benefit of two different climates in one greenhouse.
Its massively strong frame sets the benchmark to measure all others against and has a combination of quality and built-in features simply not seen as standard in other models.
4’ wide double doors incorporating a ‘no trip’ threshold allow wheelbarrow and disabled access and the integral base sits on any firm, level surface, including soil whilst 4mm thick (not the more common 3mm) toughened safety glass with a unique ‘lock-in’ beading system offers security and protection.
Strong hanging basket rails, extra large, automatically controlled vents and large side wall louvers are class leading convenience features. Big integral gutters and downpipes have the optional ability to direct rainwater into one point.

INTEGRAL ALUMINIUM BASE.
The most modern design featuring heavy duty aluminium sections to which the rest of the frame directly attaches to become an integrated part of the structure. The result is a harmonious and strong design which comfortably supports its own weight so that it can be directly placed on clear, firm, level soil.
Greenhouses with this feature are so strong that they remove the extra expense and effort of laying bricks, blocks or concrete which weaker designs are obliged to have. On many models a 'no trip' low door threshold can also be included which gives easy wheelbarrow and disabled access.
Maintenance free, rustproof and immune from the warping and rotting associated with wood, on soil it is held in position by ground anchors which are concreted in place. On a hardstand, the flat bottom lip is drilled and screwed down with appropriate fixings. NB - all sizes quoted in sales literature or on this website are nominal. Plain aluminium finish. Natural aluminium colour - bright and shiny initially but gradually gains an oxidised top layer to give a familiar 'matt' apperance to the greenhouse framework.
Green powdercoated finish. Lustrous, permanent colour which is maintenance free and highly resistant to marking and chipping. Finish is applied via a lengthy, painstaking process which literally bonds the colour to the metal. Be aware that some cheaper, often imported, models shortcut the process for cost reasons resulting in a less durable finish.
Extra Doors - gives convenient access at both ends of your Rhino. The doors will be supplied to the same specification as the doors on the front of your Rhino. (You may need to order a second stainless steel ramp if your greenhouse has the 'low threshold' door feature and is on a hardstanding.)

The 2ft (60cm) deep staging is the workhorse, use it for potting up (also see our Potting Pal) taking cuttings and storing your plants.
The 1ft (30cm) deep staging will fit above the main staging and provide a further 50% of growing space for your plants. Full size seed trays will fit perfectly along the length of the 300 deep integral staging.
A common problem in most greenhouses is lack of space, especially in Spring. These two stagings will really maximise your growing space.
A popular option is to have a two tone staging, a combination of green brackets and aluminium slats (see photo above).
The logic being that whilst the brackets are visible from outside the greenhouse, the slatted work surface will be covered with plants and the different colour less visible. The advantage is one of cost saving. Your call!

18" is ideal for small greenhouses and essential for models such as the 5ft wide, where the bays either side of the door are only 18" wide.
24" is the most popular size, suiting almost any greenhouse. The popular Reservoir and Potting Pal are designed for this depth.
30" is designed for 8ft wide and larger greenhouses, offering 25% more workspace than the 24".
2, 4, 6 or 8ft long, it's entirely up to you!
Your choice entirely. The second tier can be fitted at one of two different heights, so you can either leave room to store items underneath the second tier or move it lower and maximise the space on the shelf itself.
If you have a green-framed greenhouse then you may want to have the staging frame powdercoated green too. Note that the wooden slats and stainless steel trays are not painted green (but you'll be covering these with plants anyway).
Wooden slats are double vacuum treated with preservative and will not rot. The slats allow free drainage for trays and pots as well as making ideal second tiers for storage.
Stainless steel trays are very strong indeed (like other manufacturers, we used to supply aluminium trays but these are so much better). The edges are folded back on themselves for safety. They can fit as either a flat surface, or better still upturned and filled with pea shingle. Not only is this an ideal drainage medium for pots but it creates a moist microclimate around your plants - they'll love it!

Rhino Reservoir plain aluminium (ordered with a Rhino staging). Holds 30 litres of water underneath the staging trays to keep capillary matting moist for several days. Suitable for use with any 24" wide Rhino TUFF free-standing staging with at least one tier of metal trays. A special sized stainless steel tray with a filler hole replaces one standard tray.

Rhino Growblinds 2' wide roof blinds for 6ft & 8ft wide Rhino Premium models. A greenhouse is quick to overheat and some sort of shading is essential to protect your precious plants. These blinds are beautifully made in the UK and are particularly effective because they stop the heat before it hits the glass. The blinds are very easy to fit and to operate. You will need one Reach Pole too.

However, this time and effort can be eliminated by using a Professional Installer who will quickly and correctly erect, glaze and anchor down the greenhouse on your pre-prepared site - either soil or hardstanding.
