The proportions of the Growhouse 8x10 means working in your greenhouse is a real pleasure. Extra width gives significantly greater headroom and your plants more space to grow, whilst the wide door offers good wheelbarrow and pedestrian access. Western Red Cedar is durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and fungus and will need less attention than other soft wood frames - even left untreated, the oily nature of the wood provides excellent protection from the elements.
The 8x10 Growhouse has a very good specification as standard. Toughened safety glass guards against unfortunate accidents. Two roof and two side vents help ensure that the temperature is well regulated throughout the year. High capacity powder coated aluminium gutters and down pipes complete a very impressive package.
Dreading the installation? No need to panic, all Growhouse models are supplied in prebuilt panels with simple instructions so you can be up and growing within no time!
A pre-prepared clear, level and firm site is essential to successfully install your Growhouse greenhouse.
For minimum time and effort and maximum convenience, we strongly recommend using the Growhouse steel base to instantly and effortlessly provide a suitable foundation plinth.
Alternatively, if a concrete, brick or block base is provided, please note the following –
specific site conditions and materials chosen will determine the exact basework specification and how and where the greenhouse will sit on the completed base. Slabs or a concrete pad should ideally be slightly over the greenhouse footprint size, as supplied by the manufacturer, but critically must be laid dead flat and level.
A brick or blockwork plinth must be laid so that it is precisely level, square and to the correct footprint dimensions for this particular greenhouse, as supplied by the manufacturer. (NB these may differ from nominal sizes quoted verbally, in sales literature or in descriptions on this website).

Growhouse 8x10 Blinds
Growhouse blinds are used to reduce the amount of sunlight getting into your greenhouse and are a vital part of climate regulation. They help prevent temperatures from soaring to levels which will dry out and kill valuable plants and also stop sunlight causing damage by scorching foliage. The blinds can also be easily removed in winter when maximum light is needed in the greenhouse.
