Elite Easygrow 2x8

The Easygrow is best described as a planthouse - the doors give good interior access but it is not really large enough inside for people to work. However, it can be ‘planted’ in a small space – only requiring just over 6’ wall height to accommodate it.

A firm, level foundation of the correct size is needed (remember to add the height of this!) and we recommend the optional aluminium base which instantly provides support to the exact size and which removes the time, effort and money spent laying bricks, blocks or slabs and the fear of rusting, rotting or warping associated with galvanised steel or wood.

The 2x8 has a strongly constructed, British made frame (built to standards higher than less well made competitors and cheap imports!) and includes two sliding doors (4’ nominal, opening) and a large 4sq ft opening roof vent.

We strongly recommend an upgrade to safety glazing to help protect children, pets – and the gardener! Also consider a maintenance free paint finish to help the Easygrow blend attractively into its surroundings. Good ventilation is essential and adding an autovent opener will flexibly control airflow. A good choice of accessories is also available including the exclusive Rhino range.

SEPARATE ALUMINIUM BASE.

Designed to sit on any firm, level surface, the optional, separate aluminium base is a fantastic time and money saver.

Maintenance free, rustproof and immune from warping and rotting associated with wood, it instantly provides a sturdy foundation plinth for the greenhouse and removes with the considerable time, effort and cost of laying bricks, slabs or concrete. On soil, it is held in position by ground anchors which are concreted in place, On a hardstand, the flat bottom lip is drilled and screwed down with appropriate fixings. The plain finish matches an aluminium greenhouse but, if required, a maintenance free, powder coat coloured finish can be applied.

Please note, if a traditional base of bricks, blocks, slabs or concrete is provided instead, it must be precisely level, square and to the exact footprint dimensions for this particular greenhouse (NB these will differ from nominal sizes quoted in sales literature or on this website).
